ABOUT

Hi, I’m Dan MacCombie. I’m a therapist working to help us remember how to be with each other - and with every moment of our own experience.

I’ve been a Co-Founder and Co-CEO, multi-times advisor/board member, and have spoken and facilitated in front of audiences of all sizes far and wide.

I also coach/facilitate individuals and co-founders as they create the greatest fulfillment, possibility, and change in their lives, work, and worlds.

In 2009, I moved to Ecuador to co-found Runa, an Amazonian social enterprise and tea company. Together with my Co-Founder and Co-CEO, I spent 8 years building an organization that introduced guayusa tea to North America, impacting the lives of thousands of farmers, creating a new economic model in the Amazon, and sharing a beverage that's been drank tens of millions of times. Runa was sold to Vita Coco in 2018.

In 2022, I completed my Master’s in Mental Health Counseling at Northwestern University and am now licensed in three states. Clients have told me they appreciate my warmth, willingness to name what I experience with them in our work, and ability to collaboratively explore and address experiences of trauma, marginalization, and loneliness.

Since starting graduate school, I have been more and more engaged in the psychedelic therapy space. I have worked at MAPS, Fluence, and consulted for numerous organizations. I built trainings for Colorado natural medicine facilitators, for clinical trials, and in many other realms. I continue to work in that space, and provide ketamine sessions, as well as preparation and integration for other psychedelic work, to my clients.
